Deposits: We require a 30% non-refundable deposit on all calf purchases. This way, your chosen animal is reserved and held for you until it is ready to ship or be picked up. In addition, the deposit guarantees that your calf will remain with us until it is fully weaned and prepared to transition to its new home.
FAQ’S on purchasing mini calves from us in Montana
Your miniature calf will come halter broke unless stated otherwise. Beginning at around five months of age, we start socialization so each calf learns trust and good handling. However, the first few months with momma are essential for teaching manners and how to simply “be a cow.” During that time we leave the calf just to spend time with momma.
In addition, every calf is fully vaccinated and receives a health check from our herd veterinarian prior to shipping or pick-up. The purchase price also includes all required paperwork so your little one is ready to travel. Because we value proper development, we do not wean calves early. We do not sell bottle babies.
