Who We Are?

Miniature Cattle Ranch In Montana

Meet the Anderson’s
Owners of Xbar6 Miniature Cattle | Montana

Why would a family of third-generation commercial beef ranchers decide to raise miniature cows?
Honestly, it’s because of families like yours.

We spend our days as a family, working cattle side by side.
Those moments built unbreakable bonds, teach us responsibility, and show us the deep joy of caring for something beyond ourselves.

Now, we want every family to experience that same joy.
Even on a smaller scale, miniature cattle make it possible to slow down and create soul-filling memories right at home.

That’s why we’ve dedicated ourselves to developing small, gentle, family-friendly cattle.
We’ve strengthened our genetics to produce healthy and outstanding babies. Babies that thrive and bring joy to homes across the US and Canada.
We stand behind the health and quality of every animal we raise and sell. Careful breeding and our commitment to raising babies right from day one.

We work together as a family every chance we get, but we also dream of the day our own children come home to work full-time on the ranch, carrying on the legacy we’ve built together.

Providing your family with that meaningful connection. Teaching kids the value of hard work through animal care.  Giving you more quality time together—that’s what truly rewards us every single day.

We’d love to welcome you to the ranch!
Come visit us, meet the herd, see our gentle miniatures up close, and feel the peace of ranch life for yourself.

With a big Montana hug,
Ray, Kelly, and the kids

Our Core Values

AUTHENTICITY

Showing up every day as ourselves, working hard and being genuine to the families we provide cattle.

INTEGRITY

Being reliable, transparent, and true to our values, from the way we raise and breed our miniature cattle to the way we build relationships with clients.

COMPASSION

Honoring and treating every animal with gentle care, and extending that same kindness to the families we work with.

The name of our ranch, comes from the livestock brand given to Ray by his great uncle when he was a teenager. It reflects a deep connection to our family history. It carries a sense of tradition and heritage, tying our present endeavors to the history of those who came before. Such a meaningful name adds layers of significance and personal history to our ranch, creating a bridge between generations and honoring the roots from which our journey began.
